Enjoying the Park with his Notebook Computer |

Yesterday afternoon the weather was perfect, so I decided after dinner to take a long walk with the dog through the park. As we were walking along, I saw a guy in his early 20's sitting at a bench with a notebook computer while his dog snoozed peacefully on the ground beside him. I wish I'd had my camera, because it was a great sight to see. He looked completely enthralled at whatever he was doing with his notebook computer, and never looked up until his dog woke up and headed towards mine to greet him.
I smiled at him and we both commented about the great weather, and I said something about the great thing about having a notebook computer is that you could take it with you everywhere you go. He laughed and said that it was true, and if only the battery on the notebook computer would last for 12 hours he would be happy. He said that the battery on his notebook computer usually only lasts two to three hours so when he's working out at the park, like he was yesterday, he has to make sure he gets whatever he's working on saved so that he doesn't lose it.
I explained that I'd been thinking about buying a notebook computer for a while now, and he said that he loved his so much that he couldn't imagine doing his work in the house anymore on sunny days, and the notebook computer had been able to allow him to have the best of both worlds. I asked him if he'd bought the notebook computer locally, because I’d noticed that they were a little on the pricey side as compared to the Internet. He said that he never bought things like that locally, and that he'd found his computer for a great price at Dayton Discount Electronics whose online store can be found by visiting http://www.daytondiscountelectronics.com/. I pulled out my telephone and actually jotted down the address so that when I got home I could also look for a notebook computer on the site. I figure if the prices were that good, maybe I would finally take the plunge and buy one.
We talked for a little while longer about the dogs, and also about other local news, and we said our goodbyes. I didn't want to keep him from his work any longer, and I didn't want the battery on his notebook computer to run out while he was talking to me. I never expected when I walked the dog yesterday that I'd learn something new, but I found a great new place to look for computers.
